Arab Emirates is organizing "The Second Physics Day at UAE University
2004-2005" on 9th May 2005.
Physics Day is the annual event hosted by the department of physics at
UAE University.
The department of physics intends to organize the second physics day on May 9, 2005 in order to continue and enhance the relationship between the department and students.
Teams of high school students from all over the country will participate in several activities to learn more about physics and test their knowledge in physics.
Also, it will be a good opportunity to discuss the future cooperation with related governmental organizations in different ways. In particular, this year the physicists all over the world will celebrate the World Year of Physics, the 100th anniversary of Einstein's "Miraculous Year" in which he published three of his most famous papers.
Objectives:
1. Presenting physics subjects in an interesting and stimulating manner by delivering active presentations by an international science scholar.
2. Discussing and enhancing the cooperation with various organizations to establish future trends for joint research projects and training of our students at their respective departments.
3. Enhance graduates' and students' awareness of the job market needs, and open areas of future employment.
4. Creating a favorable environment for our students and encouraging them to participate in various activities and express themselves by carrying out certain duties related to the physics day.
5. Promoting physics among high school students and encouraging them to pursue physics as future career.
