2006: December 4th - 7th 2006, Abu Dhabi
International Exhibition Centre - Etihad Unveiled as Official
Airline for International Energy Conference and Exhibition,
Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates
Etihad Airways, the national airline of the UAE, has announced
that it will be the official airline for Gastech 2006, the
International Conference and Exhibition for the LNG, LPG and
Natural Gas Industries.
Taking place in Abu Dhabi, Gastech 2006 is set to attract more
than 5,000 senior gas industry decision makers and 200
exhibiting companies from 33 countries.
Details on the event and Etihad’s unique sponsorship of the
event were given at today’s press conference, which was attended
by HH Sheikh Sultan bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan, chairman of Abu Dhabi
Tourism Authority.
“Etihad is delighted to be the official airline for Gastech
2006, especially because this year’s event is taking place in
Abu Dhabi, the home of Etihad Airways and one of the world’s
energy capitals,” said Raymond Korban, regional general manager,
UAE and Oman, Etihad Airways.
It is the second occasion that Etihad has sponsored Gastech,
following last year’s successful event which was held in the
northern Spanish city of Bilbao.
Gastech 2006 will be held at the
Emirates Palace Hotel and the Abu Dhabi International Exhibition
Centre between 4 and 7 December 2006.
“With many of the world’s leading gas industry figures coming to
Abu Dhabi, this is another perfect opportunity to showcase the
dynamic progress the UAE’s national airline is making,”
continued Korban.
“Etihad continues to build on our reputation for luxury and
hospitality, and we look forward to welcoming the dignitaries
and visitors who will visit for Gastech 2006.”
Gastech 2006 will be co-hosted by
ADNOC (Abu Dhabi National Oil Company), Dolphin Energy and other
key Abu Dhabi-based organisations.
The Gastech conference and exhibition is held every 18 months,
alternating between gas producing and gas consuming countries.
Etihad Airways, the national
airline of the United Arab Emirates, is the world’s leading new
airline and currently offers flights for Guests and cargo to
more than 40 destinations in the Middle East, Europe, North
America, Africa and Asia.
