Al Ain Men's College Learning Community Festival 2007
"Working with the World" - 25th April 2007

The Learning Community Festival was kicked off by panel discussions and presentation outline on economic issues, challenges and core values on excellence, transparency, partnership, honesty and accountability.

The second annual Learning Community Festival was presented and the theme was "Working with the World". The focus of the festival's symposium was the impact of  globalisation on the local economy and labor market.

The theme was discussed through a symposium. College students and other invited guests
were hearing a distinguished group of panelists who addressed the theme of the symposium. The students dialogued with these labor market experts, seeking answers to their career developments.

Ms. Azza Al-Sharhan, Director General of the Emirate National development Program,
Dubai, Mr. Omar Saif Ghobash, Director General of the Emirates Foundation, Mr. Younes
Proctor, Training Manager of Offsets Group, Mr. Mohamad Dabbas, the Abu Dhabi
Emiratization Council were the distinguished panel members and the panel was moderated
by Mr. Tim Smith, Associate Director of Al Ain Colleges. The Emirates Foundation, was a major sponsor of the Al Ain Learning Community Festival 2007. The Foundation's Director General of the Emirates Foundation, Omar Saif Ghobash, stressed  on the important subject of globalization, entitled 'Working with the World'. "Rapid changes are taking place both locally and globally - these dynamics need to be discussed and evaluated  for young Emirati men and women to chart a course forward for themselves." Mr. Ghobash said.

 

Liberty Abu Dhabi - Liberty Automobiles Co, Abu Dhabi, the authorized General Motors dealer for Cadillac, Chevrolet and AC Delco, was also one of the sponsors for this event. A gala dinner has closed the festival.
