Theme was 'ICE' - all ICE drinks were free until 11pm.  Press were invited and the party also celebrated the 50th anniversay of Mount Everest ascent.  For More Info: please ontact: Shereen Dury,PR Manager, OctOpus :email:shereend@octopusme.com Nestlé Chefs Challenge 2003 invites Executive Chefs Contributed recipes targeted for special section in 'Menus of the Masters' Nestlé Food Services is inviting executive chefs to send in recipes as contribution towards a special section in Nestle's annual cookbook, Menus of the Masters, which in the past has only included junior chefs entries selected from the Nestlé Chefs Challenge.  Executive chefs from the UAE, Kuwait, Qatar and Lebanon are invited to take part by submitting recipes using at least two Nestlé products, in three categories; starters, main courses and desserts. Selected dishes will then be photographed and featured in Menus of the Masters. "While in the past Nestlé Chefs Challenge has only been for junior chefs, this year we thought of adding a separate division to the challenge offering the senior chefs also a chance to demonstrate their skill, imagination and creativity," said Vincent Gal, Nestlé Food Services Director.  Nestlé Chefs Challenge serves as an excellent venue that brings together chefs from other areas such as the airline industry, restaurants and catering companies and helps in motivating junior chefs to learn from their peers. As the whole challenge is geared towards culinary artistry and excellence, it also helps to enhance the level of creativity in terms of presentation with the use of new ingredients. The most creative and outstanding recipes received will be presented in the annual cookbook, Menus of the Masters. The cookbook will feature amazing culinary shots from Oz Newcombe, respected in this region for his high quality hospitality-related and food images. The book will be distributed to the participating chefs as well as other professional chefs in the region. To enter, chefs can submit their recipes, in not more than 400 words, along with a photo of the prepared dish (for two people) to Nestlé by 10 August 2003.
