market research study into the German conference
and convention market at a
press conference prior to the opening of IMEX
(1st April 2003). The GCB is
a strategic partner of the show and last
commissioned market research on a
similar scale in 1999. The results of the study,
which sampled 330 German
hotels and convention centres, 1000 conference
attendees, 50 companies and
associations and 60 event organisers, will be
eagerly awaited by industry
professionals across the EU and worldwide.

been revised to make it country neutral and the

administered the day prior to IMEX, Monday 7th

well as 15,000 firms and
properties involved in the meetings, convention
and exhibitions industry.
More than 8,000 meeting professionals have
already earned their CMP designation
worldwide.
In preparation for the exam there will be a
leadership breakfast at IMEX
2003, on Thursday 10th April, to begin planning
the study groups that will be available to
prepare for the 2004 exam.
