Looking forward to Gastech 2008

Gastech 2006, held in Abu Dhabi, hosted by the ADNOC group of companies has proved to be a true record breaker, with a total attendance 6409, from 66 countries (subject to independent verification). The total attendance in Bilbao at Gastech 2005 was approx 5400.

Over 2100 of the total attendance registered to attend the conference. Gastech had already set new records as far as the exhibition was concerned with over 300 leading companies from 32 countries occupying more than 9050m2 (net) of space (1,900m2 more than at any previous Gastech). 1700m2 was taken by companies new to Gastech.

Reed Exhibitions sets up organisation in Abu Dhabi...
Reed Exhibitions, organiser and owner of the European simulation and training event ITEC, has acquired three exhibitions in the United Arab Emirates and signed a long- term agreement with the Abu Dhabi National Exhibitions Company (ADNEC). Based on the
agreement, Reed will organise events from 2007 onwards in the new state-of-the-art halls currently under construction in the capital. Reed Exhibitions will become the owner and organiser of IDEX, of the Environment Exhibition and of the Security Show.

It has already announced the launch of Gulf Incentive Business Travel Market (GIBTM), a new meetings industry show to take place in ADNEC’s halls in Abu Dhabi in March 2007. The agreement with ADNEC creates a significantly greater presence for Reed Exhibitions in the Emirates. With offices in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, Reed Exhibitions is now creating the capacity to serve the whole region. More events are being planned and will be announced in the near future.
